Parents and guardians of Grade Six students are reminded that pre-registration for the 2015 to 2016 school year will be from May 25 to June 5.

Forty-two candidates have been nominated to contest the 2015 General Elections to be held in the Virgin Islands on June 8. 

A full slate of 13 candidates from both the ruling National Democratic Party, and the main opposition party, the Virgin Islands Party, were nominated in addition to five members from the People’s Empowerment Party.  Three candidates were nominated from the People’s Progressive Coalition.

Residents who have experienced service interruption to their water supply from the Fort Hill and Sabbath Hill Reservoir are informed that the disruption was due to technical issues caused by electrical surges at the Biwater Plant.

Virgin Islands’ residents were urged this week to visit museums and learn more about the Territory’s rich history in observance of International Museum Day. The day was observed on May 18, under the theme “Museums for a Sustainable Society.”

A seven-member delegation led by Director of BVI House Asia, Ms. Elise Donovan, participated in the three-hour conference hosted by Director General of Shenzhen Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, Dr. Tang Lixia. The conference allowed participating cities to exchange their insights on enhancing international, economic and cultural cooperation with each other.
