The Elmore Stoutt High School (ESHS) will host its first talent showcase on Wednesday, December 9, as the school’s annual Advent Term fundraiser.

The theme for the event is ‘Gifts for Education!’ and it will be held at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex at 6:00 p.m. It will feature performances from students, teachers and surprise guests.

Assistant Principal for Pastoral Affairs Ms. Donna Clyne said, “Talent shows are fun! They involve the community, parents and staff members. Most of all, they give our precious students a chance to show off their special skills!”

Ms. Clyne said there are many reasons for hosting the talent showcase, including recognising students’ non-academic talents, providing character-building lessons and fostering teambuilding.

She added that student production teams will get to demonstrate their staging, sound and lighting skills, while parents, teachers and administrators will partner and build necessary relationships.

Performances will include singing, dancing, comedy, magic acts, boxing demonstration, modeling, poetry, artistry, steel pan, saxophone/brass group and drama. Students’ projects and unique art work will also be on display.

Tickets can be purchased at ESHS and Infinite Solutions. Ticket prices for students, adults and VIP are $5.00, $10.00 and $20.00 respectively.
