Premier and Minister of Finance, Dr. the Honourable D. Orlando Smith, OBE, met with over 40 of the Territory’s students studying in the United Kingdom during his annual visit for the Joint Ministerial Council meeting.

Over the weekend, Premier Smith took the opportunity to connect with the students to provide them with a progress report on the Territory, and also to give them a chance to ask questions and share their concerns.

Premier Smith said, "I was very pleased to once again meet with our students in London. It is indeed a testament to my Government's commitment to the development of our Territory that we have so many young people studying in various subject areas, all of which would add to the diversity of skills and professions in the British Virgin Islands."

The students also had the opportunity to meet and pose questions to other members of the Government. These included Deputy Premier and Minister for Natural Resources and Labor, Dr. the Honourable Kedrick Pickering, along with district representatives Honourable Melvin “Mitch” Turnbull and Dr. the Honourable Hubert O’Neal.
