The Ministry of Education is advising the public that the Ivan Dawson Primary School will remain closed today, Friday, October 6 due to the extensive impact of the flood on the water source and the school grounds.

This Flash Back Friday Secondary Students engaged at the Summer Institute Robotics segment. It is from this engagement that students were selected to represent the Territory at the annual international FIRST Global Robotics Championships to be held in Singapore from October 7 to 10.

Minister for Education, Youth Affairs and Sports, Honourable Sharie B. de Castro has said the new school year is a continuation of an incredible journey of moving Virgin Islands Education: Full S.T.E.A.M. Ahead.
Madam Speaker, the development of our children and young people is of utmost importance to the continued development of the Territory. Thus, I am pleased to highlight the reintroduction of Summer Camps in July 2023 through the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports. A total of three separate camps were offered: the Youth Summer Camp, S.T.E.A.M. Summer Camp and the Multi-Sport Summer Camp.
