Minister for Education, Youth Affairs and Sports Honourable Sharie de Castro, staff and students of the Ebenezer Thomas Primary School, and representatives from Green VI are featured as they planted a Cherry tree in observance of Earth Day which was on 22nd April.

Joyce Samuel Primary School is the second of five primary schools in the Territory to receive a new playground facility following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Government of the Virgin Islands and Unite BVI.

The students of the Willard Wheatley Primary School are the recipients of a new playground facility following a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Government of the Virgin Islands and Unite BVI. The playground was handed over to Principal Mrs. Enid Penn-Charles following a brief ceremony. The event was also addressed by Premier and Minister of Finance Dr. The Honourable Natalio Wheatley, Minister for Education, Youth Affairs and Sports Honourable Sharie de Castro, Executive Director of Unite BVI Dr. Sauda Smith and Representative for the Eighth District Honourable Marlon Penn. The school is the first of five primary schools in the Territory earmarked to receive playgrounds.

The conclusion of the Ministry of Education’s annual Inter-Secondary School Debates brought cheers and excitement as Elmore Stoutt High School (ESHS) emerged victorious against St. George’s Secondary School.
The final round of the 2024 Inter-Secondary School Debates was held today under the moot: “All students exiting secondary school in the Virgin Islands should attain a technical qualification”.
The final debate of the 2024 Inter-Secondary School Prelimary Debates took place at the New Testament Church of God International Worship Centre Activity Hall today under the moot: “The BVI is ill-prepared to address the health challenges posed by an aging population.”
