The final round of the 2024 Inter-Secondary School Debates was held today under the moot: “All students exiting secondary school in the Virgin Islands should attain a technical qualification”. The proposition team Elmore Stoutt High School (ESHS) defeated the opposition team, St. Georges Secondary School. Yet again, the debate was heavily disputed, with the rebuttal scores determining the winner.

Prizes were awarded to the winners from the Ministry of Education, Youth Affairs and Sports and a variety of other sponsors that contributed to making this year’s debate series a success. The ESHS will be representing the Territory in the National Tourism Debates this year.
