Mister Speaker, I rise to provide this Honourable House with an update on the Ministry of Transportation, Works and Utilities.

The public is advised that the backfilling of the retaining wall structure on the lower part of Fort Hill will commence tomorrow March 11.

Motorists are advised that due to the reinstatement of the road surface of Little Dix Hill there will be no through traffic from 7:00 a.m. Friday March 12 until Tuesday March 16. 

Motorists and residents are advised that due to continuing works at Ballast Bay the road will be closed for the duration of February and the entire month of March. 

The public is notified that a portion of Main Street Road in the vicinity of Mid-Town Restaurant to the Old Administration Building will be temporarily closed on Saturday, February 27....

As works continue on the Great Mountain Site #2 (that is the project closest to Huntums Ghut) a temporary road closure is required to facilitate the concrete casting of the road surface. 

The public is notified that a portion of Long Look Road from the Stickett to Little Dix Hill Road will be temporarily closed from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 20.

The public is advised that drainage works continue on the lower part of Fort Hill (from Qwomar Trading up to the intersection with Bau Bau Gene Hill) and traffic disruptions are expected for the next two weeks. 

The public is notified that there will be interruption to the flow of traffic on Farara Road (stretch of road behind old Venetta’s Daycare Long Bush) on Tuesday, February 9 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  

The public are advised that on Wednesday, February 3 from 9:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. there will be traffic disruptions along the lower part of Fort Hill (from Qwomar Trading up to the intersection with Bau Bau Gene Hill).
