The Governor was in Anegada today together with Deputy Commissioner of Police Amory and members of the BVI Airports Authority. He visited the airport and inspected the wreckage of the plane that was destroyed by fire following an unauthorized landing in the early hours of Wednesday. After the landing, a quantity of illicit drugs was recovered.

Managing Director of the BVI Airports Authority, Mr. Kurt Menal is notifying the traveling public that the Virgin Gorda International Airport will be closed from Tuesday, August 29 to Thursday, September 7.

The BVI Airports Authority (the Authority) is notifying the travelling public that the airports on Virgin Gorda and Anegada respectively have resumed normal operations.

The BVI Airports Authority is informing the travelling public that the Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport has re-opened following a brief closure earlier today, July 17.  The airport will be operational to international traffic on July 18.

The Virgin Islands welcomed the official inaugural WINAIR ATR 42 flight on Saturday July 15.

The Department of Immigration has ramped up its operations at the Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport in efforts to facilitate the increase in the number of travelers being processed at the airport.
