New seasonal service between Miami and the British Virgin Islands launches next summer

The Board of Directors and Management of the BVI Airports Authority (BVIAA) received training as they hosted the Director General of the Airports Council International for Latin America and the Caribbean (ACI-LAC), Dr. Rafael Echevarne from November 21 to 22.

The British Virgin Islands Airports Authority (BVIAA) is intensifying its focus on Human Capital Development as part of its strategy to enhance its organizational effectiveness and its competitiveness in the regional aviation industry.

The future of aviation in the Virgin Islands is said to be in great hands with the newly appointed Board of Directors, under the leadership of Chairman, Mr. Theodore Burke. 

Madam Speaker, I wish to provide a brief report to this Honourable House on the Government's continuing efforts to increase airlift to the Virgin Islands so that we can make traveling easier and more affordable for all our residents and visitors, which is important to our tourism industry and our economy.

The public is notified that HM Customs at Port Purcell has reopened today, Thursday, October 27 after a temporary closure.
