Greetings fellow Virgin Islanders and residents, I address you today to update you on the preparations and actions of the Ministry of Transportation Works and Utilities with respect to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Director for the Water and Sewerage Department Mrs. Perline Scatliffe Leonard has said her team is working diligently to have the Diamond pump station resume operations.
Residents of Fahie Hill into Great Mountain, Sea Cow’s Bay, Meyers, and other surrounding areas are notified that the water service has been interrupted today, due to a major leak at Fahie Hill, in the vicinity of the Watch Tower.
Mister Speaker, the pump at the Long Trench station has been installed. The operationalization of this pump is dependent on an adequate power supply which necessitates a 480kw transformer which is now being installed by BVI Electricity Cooperation. This is expected to provide a consistent supply of water to the residents of Sea Cows Bay and surrounding areas.

The Government of the Virgin Islands is inviting tenders for the Procurement of Works for Lot 1 - Procurement and Installation of the Sewerage Network between Chapel Hill and Fat Hog’s Bay.

The public is notified that water interruptions outside of the usual will be experienced in Sea Cow’s Bay, from the Well by the Ebenezer Thomas Primary School to the BVI Electricity Corporation in Pockwood Pond from Wednesday, December 4 at 9:00 a.m. to Thursday, December 5 at 4:00 a.m.
