Mister Speaker, I rise to provide this Honourable House with an update to the current progression of initiatives under the portfolio of the Ministry of Transportation, Works and Utilities.

Minister for Transportation, Works and Utilities, Honourable Kye Rymer and the Managing Directors of Autland Heavy Equipment Limited are featured on May 7 as they signed contracts for works to begin on the construction of new reservoirs, retaining walls and metering at Zion Hill and Carrot Bay.  

The public is notified that Cabinet has approved to extend the suspension of water charges to June 1.

The Water and Sewerage Department advises that services resume at its offices on both Virgin Gorda and Tortola effective Monday, May 4 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The public is notified that the Water and Sewerage Department in Baugher’s Bay will resume water testing from Monday, May 4.

The Department of Water and Sewerage implements operational changes, as a result of the phased reopening of the public service, that go into effect on Monday, May 4.
