Chief Immigration Officer, Mr. Ian Penn is seeking the public’s assistance to locate Haitian national Ms. Elena Milord 

Chief Immigration Officer, Mr. Ian Penn has said that 15 illegal immigrants are now in the custody of the Department of Immigration following an exercise by the officers of the Joint Task Force on Sunday, April 24.

Three detainees who escaped the Department of Immigration detention facility on Friday, March 11 have been recaptured. The search is still ongoing for the others who remain at large. 

An intense search is underway for five detainees who escaped immigration detention early this morning Friday, March 11.

The public is notified that the Minister for Natural Resources, Labour and Immigration, Honourable Vincent Wheatley, will be holding office hours on Jost Van Dyke on Wednesday, February 2 at the Albert Chinnery Building from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

The public is notified that the Minister for Natural Resources, Labour and Immigration, Honourable Vincent Wheatley will be holding office hours on Anegada on Friday, January 28 at the Public Library from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The public is advised that the Administration Unit of the Immigration Department will be providing remote services on Tuesday, 4 January.    

Physical operations will resume on Wednesday, 5 January. In the interim, persons can call 468-4700 or email immigrationinfo@gov.vg.

Any inconvenience caused is regretted.

The Chief Immigration Officer, Mr. Ian Penn has confirmed that the eleven (11) individuals pictured are persons of interest. 

The matter was immediately reported to the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) and is an ongoing and active investigation.

Twenty individuals are now British Citizens after reciting the Oath of Allegiance and  Pledge of Loyalty to the United Kingdom during the British Citizenship Registration Ceremony on November 12.

Travelers re-entering the British Virgin Islands and who are holding expired Entry Permits and/or expired Work Permits are reminded that approval is needed from the Chief Immigration Officer prior to arrival.
