Madam Speaker, I am delighted to address this Honourable House today regarding the visit of our innovative and dedicated team to the prestigious FIRST Global Robotics Challenge, which was held in Singapore from October 7^th – 10, 2023.  Our team’s participation in this event holds great significance, as this was our territory’s first opportunity to participate in a global competition that advances the technology of Robotics.

Madam Speaker, this year we commemorate the 80th anniversary of secondary education in the Virgin Islands, a milestone that reflects the dedication and vision of stalwart educators and the unwavering commitment of our community. 

Madam Speaker, I am thrilled to share a momentous achievement that I am certain will help build and maintain confidence in our healthcare system. 

Madam Speaker, I am pleased to share with this Honourable House the successes of the recently concluded 36th OECS/PPS Policy Board Meeting and 9th OECS Council of Ministers: Health held in the Virgin Islands under my Chairmanship.

Madam Speaker, the month of November is upon us, and Culture and Tourism Month is here again. This year will be the fourth annual Culture and Tourism Month and is being organised under the theme, “Our Virgin Islands, Our Story: Tell Your Story.”

Madam Speaker, we are here in the House of Assembly at this stage to handle matters related to advancing the Shipping Registry.

Madam Speaker, it is with immense joy and renewed dedication that I acknowledge the start of the 2023-2024 school year. 

The “Review of Policy and Processes for Granting Residency and Belongership” Report was tabled in the House of Assembly, yesterday September 7.

Madam Speaker, I am pleased to come before this Honourable House to provide another update on the implementation of the COI recommendations as outlined in the Framework Agreement of June 2022.

Madam Speaker, I wish to provide this Honourable House with an update on the work of the Constitutional Review Commission (CRC).
