It is with profound sorrow and a heavy heart that I extend my deepest condolences, on behalf of Members and Staff of the House of Assembly, on the recent passing of Former Legislator Carvin Malone.

Mr. Malone’s contributions to our Territory were immeasurable, leaving an indelible mark on both our legislative landscape and the hearts of those he served. As the Minister for Health and Social Development, he demonstrated unwavering commitment, particularly during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic. His leadership and resilience in the face of this unprecedented crisis were instrumental in steering our community through challenging times.

In addition to his role as Minister, Mr. Malone served briefly in the opposition, showcasing his commitment to the democratic ideals that underpin our parliamentary system and our journey to self-determination. His willingness to bridge divides and work collaboratively for the greater good exemplified his statesmanship.

To the family and friends of Mr. Carvin Malone, we offer our deepest condolences during this difficult time. May you find strength in the memories of his impactful service and the positive changes he brought to our community. The House of Assembly joins you in mourning, and our collective thoughts and prayers are with you.
