Parents and students on Anegada are notified that officials from the Ministry of Education’s Accounts and ICT units will be visiting the Sister Island on Friday, September 3 to collect all Chromebooks and laptops loaned to students for the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 school years.

Devices will be collected at the Claudia Creque Educational Centre from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Payment and distribution of digital textbooks and Chromebook/Laptop loans for 2021-2022 school year will also be done on that day.

Parents of students of the Elmore Stoutt High School are reminded that school commences on a two-shift system on Monday, September 6. along with the following:

All parents with students attending schools and educators in the Territory are asked to complete the Reopening of Schools Survey.

Chief Librarian, Ms. Suzanne Greenaway is encouraging students to read the Summer Reading List compiled by the Public Library Service of the Virgin Islands.

Mrs. Greenaway said the list is compiled of 40 books, which can be found at the East End Library.

Parents and guardians of students in the public school system are being reminded that all public schools except for Elmore Stoutt High School will reopen for face-to-face learning on Monday September 6.

Graduating classes of public secondary schools throughout the Virgin Islands can focus on career and personal finance with the assistance of local Author, Dalan Vanterpool in partnership with BDO British Virgin Islands and CTL Home Center Ltd. 

Friday August 13 is the final day for interested contractors to submit their expressions of interest to the RDA for the construction of new classrooms at the Elmore Stoutt High School (ESHS).

Parents and guardians of public primary and secondary students with loaners of Chromebooks and Laptops are asked to return the devices to the Ministry of Education, 3rd Floor Ward’s Building. Collection will be conducted from Thursday, August 12, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Minister for Education, Culture, Youth Affairs, Fisheries and Agriculture, Dr. the Honourable Natalio D. Wheatley has announced that students in the Territory will return to their classrooms for the 2021-2022 Academic School Year.

Secretary General of the BVI National Commission of UNESCO Dr. Allison Flax-Archer has said the commission will be accepting videos as part of the visual piece in observance of International Literacy Day.
