The Government of the Virgin Islands is inviting proposals for procurement and installation of (HVAC) air-conditioning systems at the Multipurpose Sports Complex.

The public is being informed that the A. O. Shirley Recreational Grounds will now be opened to the public from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.

The A. O. Shirley Recreation Ground is a top priority in the recovery of the Territory as it is the premier location for sports training and competitions, namely track and field, soccer and rugby.

The Virgin Islands Recovery and Development Agency (RDA) has awarded two contracts for repair works on the A. O. Shirley Recreation Ground.

Dr. the Honourable Natalio Wheatley, on his first official visit to the UK, held successful discussions with key officials from the Economic Youth and Sustainable Development Directorate of the Commonwealth Secretariat in London on November 20. 

The RDA now invites tenders from eligible and qualified Tenderers for repair works to the A.O. Shirley Recreational Grounds Grandstand located at Road Town, Tortola in the British Virgin Islands.

Minister for Education, Culture, Youth Affairs, Fisheries and Agriculture, Dr. the Honourable Natalio D. Wheatley said the Territory has established itself as one of the leaders in the world with Gold medalist Chantel Malone’s leap in the 2019 Pan Am Games.
