Greetings people of the Virgin Islands. Today we celebrate the Great March of 1949 which led to the restoration of the Legislative Council in 1950.

Monday, 28^th November is a public holiday in the Virgin Islands.

Acting in accordance with Section 5 of the Public Holidays Act (Cap 199), as amended, Cabinet has approved the following public holidays for 2023:

The public is notified that the holiday commemorating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee is Friday, June 3.

Acting in accordance with Section 5 of the Public Holidays Act (Cap 199), as amended, Cabinet has approved the following public holidays for 2022.

The 27^th annual memorial celebration of visionary leader H. Lavity Stoutt is being observed on Monday, March 7 will take place at the Cappoon’s Bay Burial Ground at 10:00 a.m.

Focus will be given to the year that resulted in a new direction in the development of the Virgin Islands during the ceremony in observation of the visionary leader, the late Honourable Hamilton Lavity Stoutt.

The Virgin Islands will be observing June 3 as a public holiday to celebrate Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee.
