Did you know that Friday, June 7 is a public holiday in the Virgin Islands? Yes it is and all roads will be leading to the Festival Grounds on Wickham’s Cay I at 4:30 p.m. for the annual birthday celebration for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
The public is reminded that all premises, not including hotels and clubs, in which intoxicating liquor is sold, exposed or kept for sale by retail shall be closed on Good Friday, observed on Friday, April 19.
The public is advised that subsequent to earlier notices, the official parade of paramilitary organisations, uniformed bodies, youth organisations, schools and service clubs in observance of the Birthday of Her Majesty the Queen will now leave the Althea Scatliffe Primary School grounds at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 9.
