Premier of the Virgin Islands, Dr. the Honourable D. Orlando Smith, OBE has said his Government will continue to put preventive programmes in place to reduce the morbidity levels of residents affected by chronic diseases in the Territory.
Diabetics, persons affected with hypertension or any other chronic disease and their caregivers are invited to participate in the Stanford University Self-Management programme.
The public is invited to a series of self-management workshops aimed at assisting persons in managing non-communicable diseases beginning tomorrow April 16.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to increase their children’s physical activities on a daily basis and support efforts to promote a healthier Virgin Islands.
