The Cabinet of the Virgin Islands has recently approved the purchase of 5.5 acres of prime real estate, which was built in the 1970s and is located within The Greater Baths National Park, Toad Hall Estate.

Greetings to the people of the Virgin Islands.  As you may be aware, the situation in Cane Garden Bay Tortola that involves Power Boaters infringing on the swimming area and anchoring their vessels on the shoreline has been a problem to the beach goers and the community. This occurrence is dangerous and is also a potentially fatal accident waiting to occur. The Government of the Virgin Islands has been working diligently to remedy this issue and I am proud to say that this problem will be no more by the beginning of August.

Residents of the Virgin Islands are invited to contribute to the redesign of the Joseph Reynold O’Neal Botanic Gardens at a charrette to be held at the Queen Elizabeth Park II on Friday July 12.

Officials from the United Kingdom’s National Oceanography Centre have arrived in the Territory to deliver vital training in marine survey mapping to various departments of Government and Non-Governmental Organisations.

The public is hereby notified that effective July 1, 2019, the ‘Willy T’ floating restaurant and bar will be relocated to its original location anchored off The Bight near Norman Island, following a decision by the Government of the Virgin Islands. 

Minister for Natural Resources, Labour and Immigration, Honourable Vincent Wheatley has said that turtles and tortoises are a fundamental part of marine life in the BVI as they play a vital role in the natural balance of its ecosystems.

The Government of the Virgin Islands through the Ministry of Natural Resources and Labour has pledged to strengthen the knowledge of the status and locations of threatened plant species and habitats to facilitate more informed conservation management decisions.
