Local author Ms. Chelsea Jno Baptiste will add to the Virgin Islands’ literary tradition when she launches her book, ‘The Missing Link: Ring of Life’ tomorrow, July 13.

Twenty-seven of the Territory’s youth have successfully completed the Technical/Vocational Education and Training Apprenticeship (TVET) Programme.

Seventeen institutions throughout the Territory are recipients of a donation of children and teen themed books courtesy the BVI Reading Council.

Madam Speaker, I wish to present to this Honourable House an update on the plans for the additional year in the education system. 

Minister for Education and Culture, Honourable Myron V. Walwyn has highlighted the benefits of implementing the additional school year, or 12th Grade in the Territory’s public schools.

The Member for the Third District to ask the Honourable Minister for Education and Culture the following questions:

A total of 40 young persons have received awards and scholarships since the creation of the Virgin Islands Emerging Fellows (VIEF) grant in April 2012.
