The public is invited to participate in an online webinar titled, ‘Preparing Children For Going Back to School in COVID-19 Times’ on Thursday, September 10 at 4:00 p.m.

The objectives of the workshop include preparing children to understand that schools may need to close again if more people get sick; to reassure children that closed schools will ensure safe and healthy communities; to continue to remind children that learning can happen anywhere; and to reassure children of adults’ support to their learning after they return to school. 

Parents and guardians are notified that the registration period for the 2020-2021 school year is now closed.

The public is notified that the 2020-2021 academic school year will commence on Monday, September 7.

Good day and God’s blessings to the people of the Virgin Islands.  I come before you as Minister of Education to give you an update on the 2020-21 academic school year.

Virgin Islanders who are interested in pursuing a master’s degree in the United Kingdom are invited to join former Chevening scholars, Hakim Creque and Brittney Smith at a breakfast forum on Monday, August 31.

The Ministry of Education, Culture, Youth Affairs, Fisheries and Agriculture has launched a series of surveys to obtain feedback from various stakeholders on the online learning experience as it continues to plan for the new school year.

Former Chief Education Officer, Dr. Angel Smith has returned to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Youth Affairs, Fisheries and Agriculture and will lend his expertise in researching and documenting Virgin Islands’ history.

The Ministry of Education, Culture, Youth Affairs, Fisheries and Agriculture has received another 132 Chromebooks through The Bitter End Yacht Club.
