The public is invited to support early childhood development as the Ministry of Education, Youth Affairs and Sports observes Early Childhood Awareness Week 2025.
Premier and Minister of Finance Honourable Dr. Natalio Wheatley said that his government has finalised a five-year strategic staffing plan that will add over eighty vital positions across the Territory’s schools to strengthen support, accountability, and student success.
Participants are featured at an information session hosted by the Department of Labour and Workforce Development in collaboration with the BVI–Asia Abroad Scholarship Programme.

The Eslyn Henley Richez Learning Centre (EHRLC) has launched its inaugural Pen-Pal Day to increase awareness of exceptional students to their counterparts across the Territory.
As the Minister of Education, Youth Affairs and Sports, I am proud to reaffirm this Government's strong commitment to preparing our students for a dynamic and interconnected world. Today, I underscore the vital importance of teaching Spanish and French at both the primary and secondary levels across our education system.
It gives me great pleasure, on behalf of the Ministry of Education, Youth Affairs and Sports, to officially announce TVET Day 2025, to be celebrated on 6th May under the powerful theme: Skills Pay the Bills – TVET for a Thriving VI Economy.
