The British Virgin Islands Ports Authority (BVIPA) would like to notify the public of the following port facility closures occurring tomorrow, Saturday, 17th September 2022.

The public is advised that there will be a distribution of hurricane preparedness supplies, COVID-19 related items and general hygiene supplies on Friday, July 15 beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the Social Development Department located at John’s Hole.
The Office of the Deputy Governor, the Department of Disaster Management (DDM), and Resilience Teams will be hosting a series of disaster preparedness drives on Virgin Gorda, Anegada and Jost Van Dyke.

The Ministry of Health and Social Development has solidified its working relationship with the Red Cross by signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
Government agencies and key partners are working together to make sure the Virgin Islands is prepared following the prediction of an active hurricane season by experts.
Though we may not welcome it, the Atlantic Hurricane Season is once again upon us. This means that as happens every year between the 1st of June and the 30th of November, we and the rest of the Caribbean are at an increased risk for storms and hurricanes.
