Deputy Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Communications and Works, Mr. Andrew St. Hilaire stated that various measures are being made to control the mold in the building and enhance the quality of air.
At a press conference held on Wednesday, June 10, Honourable Stephen Rodan SHK, Head of Mission for the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association British Islands and Mediterranean Region, Virgin Islands presented the preliminary report of the team’s findings.
The Ministry of Education and Culture and the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports will host a series of youth focused stakeholder’s meetings on the proposed Virgin Islands National Youth Policy and Strategic Framework documents next week.
The Virgin Islands community is being urged to continue their efforts to reduce mosquito breeding to prevent outbreaks of Dengue Fever, Chikungunya Virus and the new Zika Virus, which are all spread by the Aedes aegypti mosquito.

The Government of the Virgin Islands is pleased that the infrastructural rehabilitation and road stabilisation programme under the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) portfolio is progressing.
Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Communications and Works Mr. Anthony McMaster in an update on projects said that the Parham Town project is now 100% complete with the addition of a new drainage component. He said Pleasant Valley is also complete per contract and is undergoing other works which include re-fencing.

On his return to office Premier Smith was greeted by the staff of the Premier’s Office and the Ministry of Finance, and subsequently met with the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Brodrick Penn, along with the Financial Secretary, Mr. Neil Smith to receive a ministerial update on the work of the two offices.
