The Government of the Virgin Islands is seeking qualified persons to fill two vacant positions as Board Members on the Board of Immigration.

The Virgin Islands Recovery and Development Agency (RDA) invites suitably qualified professionals to apply for the following positions:  

His Excellency the Governor John J. Rankin CMG, Junior Minister for Tourism Honourable Alvera Maduro-Caines, members of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force and the Zonta Club of Tortola, along with many others, congregated with the Office of Gender Affairs at the New Testament Church of God on Sunday, October 2 to kick start Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Public Service Wellness Month begins today, October 3 and will feature daily challenges and three primary wellness events.

Chief Fire Officer Zebalon Mclean is cautioning residents to let fire safety remain a priority in their homes, schools and at work as the Territory observes Fire Safety Week from October 2 to 8.

Residents on Anegada will be sharpening their skills in developing business plans and draft applications for the future use of commercial land at a workshop in November.

The need for the workshop was identified by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Labour in collaboration with the Hamilton Lavity Stoutt Community College (HLSCC), Unite BVI and the Anegada Advisory Lands Committee (AALC). The exercise is expected to contribute to the ongoing implementation of the Commission of Inquiry Recommendation B30 that speaks to the wholesale review of processes for the disposal of Crown Land to ensure that such disposals are the subject of an open and transparent process.
