The Government of the Virgin Islands has received over 10,000 pieces of protective gear including medical masks, gowns, gloves, glasses and temperature measurers from the Bank of Asia to assist in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Office of Gender Affairs is calling for peace in households as the Territory prepares to enter into a 6 day, 24-hour curfew with the resulting lockdown.

The Ministry of Health and Social Development as per the recommendation of the World Health Organization is advising those persons who may experience fever, aches and pain as a result of COVID-19, that acetaminophen or paracetamol tablets or elixir is the choice of treatment.
The Cabinet of the Virgin Islands has issued a mandatory curfew for residents of the BVI with the exception of essential workers from March 27 to April 2.

The International Tax Authority has provided further particulars that are to be borne in mind with respect to Economic Substance following the press release issued by the International Tax Authority (ITA) on March 18:
Residents of the Virgin Islands are being urged to keep a suitable distance of at least three feet from each other and to stay at home during the curfew.

Chief Operations Officer at the BVI Health Services, Mrs. Cedorene Malone-Smith has said that only patients seeking emergency services at the Dr. D. Orlando Smith Hospital will be allowed entry in the third floor ER parking lot of the facility.
