Phase V includes the extension and expansion of the BVIEC's facility by adding two new WARTSILA generators, a new central control room, and transmission cables between Pockwood Pond and Long Bush. This phase commenced on March 23 with the turning of the soil at the Pockwood Pond Power Station.
The Cruise Pier project is making great strides. The project has seen tremendous changes and from our last video presentation, buildings 2 and 3 are complete and were signed over to the BVI Ports Authority.

Honourable Vanterpool said that through the Ministry of Communications and Works, the Government will be concentrating on stabilising the supply of electricity, upgrading the water distribution network, fixing the sewerage system, developing the city of Road Town and seeking means of providing renewable energy.
