Minister for Transportation, Works and Utilities Honourable Kye M. Rymer and Permanent SecretaryMr. Ronald Smith-Berkeley have received the keys for the completed ground floor of the Virgin Islands Fire and Rescue Service Headquarters in Road Town.
Mrs. H. Lynden Smith is featured as she was presented with the Ministry of Education's Literacy Award during the opening ceremony for ‘Reading is Fun Week’ on Sunday, October 10. Mrs. Smith who introduced ‘Reading is Fun Week’ in 1992 and other projects over the years was honoured for her contribution to literacy and reading in the Virgin Islands.
Former Chief Conservation and Fisheries Officer, the late Mr. Bertrand B Lettsome also known as Washasha X is being honoured by the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries for World Food Day 2021.
The Virgin Islands delegation at Seatrade Cruise Global 2021, led by the Premier and Minister of Finance, met with representatives from the neighbouring US Virgin Islands to discuss the safe restart of passenger cruise in the region.
