Today, Premier Honourable Natalio D. Wheatley is in the United States Virgin Islands for the Ninth Meeting of the Inter-Virgin Islands Council (IVIC). Premier co-chairs the IVIC with Governor Albert Bryan. Three of 12 standing committees discussed areas of shared interest between the BVI and USVI in Energy and Utilities, Tourism and Pleasure Boating and Sports Fishing.

The BVI delegation includes Deputy Premier and Minister for Communication and Works Honourable Kye Rymer, Minister for Health and Social Development Honourable Marlon Penn, Minister for Natural Resources and Labour Honourable Melvin Turnbull, Attorney General Honourable Dawn Smith and senior public officers.
