Release Date:
Tuesday, 2 February 2021 - 1:13pm

The public are advised that on Wednesday, February 3 from 9:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. there will be traffic disruptions along the lower part of Fort Hill (from Qwomar Trading up to the intersection with Bau Bau Gene Hill).  Specifically, one lane access will be maintained only for traffic heading in the eastward direction up Fort Hill and into Baugher’s Bay or to Belle Vue. Therefore, traffic descending Fort Hill will be redirected to Bau Bau Gene Hill into Baugher’s Bay.  This action is required to commence drainage works.  Residents and business owners will not have access to their driveways or parking areas during this time period on Wednesday but a cover-over will be placed in designated areas to facilitate access from Wednesday evening onwards as works continue.

Two-way traffic will commence on Thursday, February 4 but motorists are required not to park anywhere along lower Fort Hill since the area for motorists will be restricted as a result of the drainage works.

Motorists are also asked to drive with extreme caution and to follow the directions of the traffic wardens and obey the traffic signs in these areas.
