The Public Works Department is informing the public that the Scatliffe Alley road will be closed tomorrow, June 23.

The Ministry of Communications and Works is notifying the public that two road closures are scheduled for tonight at 7:30 pm in Road Town.

The Ministry of Education and Culture and H. Lavity Stoutt Community College invite the public to the 2015 Technical/Vocational Education and Training Apprenticeship Programme (TVET) Graduation Ceremony on Wednesday, June 24, 2015.

The Environmental Health Division will be hosting an information sharing workshop with representatives of the shipping industry on Monday June 22, at the Peebles Hospital Training room located in the Annex Building.

fy;text-indent:.5in;line-height:150%'>The workshop aims to educate the industry on areas of compliance required under International Health Regulations (IHR) 2005.  The session begins at 9:30 a.m. and ends at 12:30 p.m.

 Representatives of the shipping industry including captains/ship owners, shipping agents, and managers for importing agencies are invited to attend. 

At the First Sitting, after an election process, a Speaker and Deputy Speaker will be elected in accordance with Sections 4 and 5 of the British Virgin Islands Standing Orders. An Oath of Allegiance will them be taken by the Speaker, Deputy Speaker and all elected Members.

The Environmental Health Division will be hosting a two session workshop for port health and border protection personnel to decide on strategies for the strengthening of port health regulations.

Participants will discuss the core capacity requirements under the International Health Regulations 2005, the roles of relevant agencies and stake holders at points of entry and strengthening collaborative efforts among agencies.    

The Water and Sewerage Department is advising its customers in the areas of Craft Alive and the Queen Elizabeth II Park that there will be no water supply on Saturday, June 20 between the hours of 7:00 am and 2:00 pm.

Classes will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Road Town Senior Building across from the Happy Lion Restaurant. Registration deadline is June 26 and a fee of $75.00 must be paid.

The meeting, which was scheduled for Wednesday, June 17, will be held on Wednesday, June 24 at the Catholic Community Centre starting at 7:00 p.m.

The Ministry of Education and Culture and the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports invites persons in the community who have an interest in youth development and sporting services to the Tortola youth focused stakeholders meeting on Monday, June 22.

The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Student Services Conference Room on the second floor of the Ward Building.
