Boo Bay Drive To Close This Weekend

The Ministry of Communications and Works is informing the public that Boo Bay Drive will be closed to vehicular traffic this weekend. The road will be closed from 9:00 p.m. tonight to facilitate works on the road.

Road Closure Tonight In East End For Works On Sewerage Project

The Ministry of Communications is informing the public that work is continuing on the National Sewerage Project in East End.

Motorists are advised that the road will be closed tonight from 7:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. tomorrow Saturday March 14 to vehicular traffic. They are also asked to look for detour signs that will direct them to alternative routes.

The Ministry apologises for any inconvenience caused during this time.  For more information please contact the ministry at 468-2183. 

Fitness Movement Challenge Kicks Off With Inaugural Walk

The Ministry of Health and Social Development is inviting the public to the launch its fitness movement challenge with an inaugural walk on March 16.

The walk begins at the Central Administration Complex from 4:00 p.m. and is a part of the territorial wide campaign sponsored by the Ministry of Health and Social Development in collaboration with the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports and the BVI Olympic Committee to inspire the community to promote physical activity and a healthier lifestyle.

All Invited To Public Meeting On Minimum Wage Review

The Minimum Wage Committee is inviting the public to attend a meeting to discuss the revision of the Territory’s Minimum Wages.

Public meetings will be held on Tortola at the Sir Rupert Briercliffe Hall, on Wednesday March 18 at 7:00 p.m. and on Virgin Gorda at the Catholic Community Centre on Wednesday March 25, at 6:00 p.m.

The Committee seeks to convene meetings under the motto; “This is the time. Let your voice be heard.”
