Thank you Madam Speaker, I say a fifth district good afternoon to each and every one of you under the sound of my voice whether present or online. It's a pleasure to be in the fifth district, it's a pleasure to be here in this Fifth House of Assembly, before I start, I just want to thank God. Thank God for all his mercies and his blessings for having me here in this Fifth House of Assembly. I also thank my wife, Suzanne, for her unwavering support throughout this journey, and my daughters who are here present today, excited to be here for this special day. I also thank my family, I thank the people of the Fifth District for the confidence that they placed in me to represent them yet again. Madam Speaker I also thank all the persons who supported me, who encouraged me, prayed for me along the way, and I thank them for their support.
The Water and Sewerage Department’s water distribution network’s power service has been restored following disruptions over the weekend that left many residents without water.
Acting Director of the Water and Sewerage Department, Mr. Brian Davis is reassuring residents along the Blackburn Highway from Baugher’s Bay to Paraquita Bay; and parts of Road Town that efforts are being made to restore their water supply.

The public is advised that a portion of the James Walter Francis drive, eastbound lane, in the vicinity of Treasure Isle, will be closed on Saturday, April 22 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Madam Speaker, I am pleased to provide an update on the progress of work at the Burt Point Waste Water Treatment Plant.
Madam Speaker, as Honourable Members and the members of the public would recall, one of the major problems that the Government inherited when we took office in was the poor state of the sewerage infrastructure in several parts of the Territory, including in and around the Capital of Road Town.
Residents and businesses along Drake’s Highway from Nanny Cay to the BVI Electricity Corporation in Pockwood Pond are notified that the public water service will be temporarily interrupted on Thursday, February 2 and Friday, February 3 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily.
Customers of the Water and Sewerage Department are advised that collections on Tortola will be partially interrupted on Friday, February 3, from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Services will resume at 1:00 p.m.
