The Government of the Virgin Islands is continuing to upgrade the existing water distribution network as it ensures that all residents have access to potable water.
The public is invited to join with the Conservation and Fisheries Department and the Water and Sewerage Department at the World Water Day Exhibition on Tuesday, March 22 at the Noel Lloyd Positive Action Movement Park.
Residents of the Virgin Islands are expected to be made more aware of the importance of water in various occupations during the observation of World Water Day on Tuesday, March 22.
The Ministry of Communications and Works has implemented a fault reporting hotline at the Water and Sewerage Department and is encouraging residents to call 468-6000 to report water leaks, broken pipes and interruptions in water supply.
The Ministry of Communications and Works mobilised trucking of water to Virgin Gorda on Saturday, February 13 as a temporary solution to the shortage of water occurring on the island.
