Good Morning to Acting Premier Honourable Rymer and to all of you present, including the media.  I am delighted that you have all decided to Come Innovate with us today as we take this time to speak to you the press and to the people about what will be known territory wide as Innovation Week or iWeek.

Good morning everyone, It gives me great pleasure as the Acting Premier of the Virgin Islands to address this formal introduction of the BVI Innovative Business Lab and the first iteration of Innovation Week (i Week) in the Territory.

The Business Community is invited to the first Innovation Week (iWeek) events from October 28 to 31.

The Government of the Virgin Islands is of the view that Innovation transcends all industries and is a key factor in the growth of economies.

Residents on Anegada are notified that Junior Ministers for Tourism, Honourable Shereen Flax- Charles, Trade and Economic Development, Honourable Sharie B. de Castro, and Deputy Speaker, Honourable Neville Smith will be holding office hours at the Anegada Library on Wednesday, October 16 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

My fellow Virgin Islanders; this is a wonderful moment not only for the Government led by Premier Honourable Andrew Fahie, but for the people of the Virgin Islands who for years have pleaded for Consumer Protection legislation.

The Government of the Virgin Islands has set about building capacity to deliver on important developmental goals.

Over 20 small and medium-sized businesses will be on display during the Business Essentials Workshop and Small Business Trade Show on Friday, December 21.
