The Government of the Virgin Islands through the Ministry of Natural Resources and Labour has pledged to strengthen the knowledge of the status and locations of threatened plant species and habitats to facilitate more informed conservation management decisions.
The Commission is pleased to present a cheque in the amount of one thousand, six hundred and fifteen dollars ($1,615.00) to Ms. Jasmine Watson, who is raising funds for her grandson, Jahdiel Watson. The presentation was made at the Commission’s office on Thursday 04th April 2019.
The British Virgin Islands Tourist Board (BVITB) in partnership with the prestigious U.S. based sports institution IMG Academy, is accepting applications for three aspiring BVI athletes to attend a “Week Youth Core Sport Camp”. Several of the professional tennis players who played at the 2018 Miami Open, are alumni of IMG Academy.
Premier and Minister of Finance, Honourable Andrew A. Fahie shared his Government’s vision when he met with officials from the BVI’s financial services industry at the BVI Finance Breakfast Forum yesterday, March 21.

BVI Finance today welcomed the European Union’s recognition of the BVI as a cooperative jurisdiction as it has delivered on its commitment relating to economic substance as defined by the EU.
The number of businesses and individuals registering Limited Partnerships in the British Virgin Islands (BVI) increased by 200% between Q2 and Q3 2018, as the Territory’s new partnership provisions came into full effect.

The International Tax Authority (ITA) is advising the BVI Financial Services Industry that Guidance Notes to compliment the legislative changes made to the Mutual Legal Assistance (Tax Matters) Act, 2003 by way of Act No. 8 of 2018 is now available.
