The Social Development Department is encouraging parents to ensure children are safeguarded at all times in response to the rapidly evolving coronavirus disease COVID-19 and school closures.

The public is invited to the East End/Long Look Seniors’ Programme Open House on Wednesday May 8.

The staff at the Social Development Department is featured as they received gift certificates on behalf of vulnerable children and family for the holidays.

The staff and residents of the Safe Haven Transitional Centre ushered in the holiday spirit by celebrating the centre’s achievements and progress during their annual Christmas party.

BVI Services is the recipient of a new bus to transport clients with special needs.

Veterans residing in the Territory are asked to register their names at the Deputy Governor’s Office by Wednesday, October 31 to be acknowledged in this year’s Remembrance Day activities.

BVI Services, a day programme for adults with disabilities is the recipient of several items donated by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS). 

The East End/Long Look Senior Programme will be hosting an Oldie Goldie Senior Dance on Friday, June 8 at 6:00 p.m.

The BVI branch of the United Nation Educational Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) joined the rest of the world and observed World Poetry on March 21.
