Owners of vessels deemed to be derelict and abandoned in the Territory are asked to contact the Receiver of Wrecks and provide information on the removal of these vessels from their present locations.

Marine inspectors from the Virgin Islands Shipping Registry (VISR) attended the Caribbean Ship Inspector Training (CASIT) course in Trinidad and Tobago from October 29 through November 16.
The business of new ship buying and registration is expected to increase next year following the Virgin Islands Shipping Registry’s representation at the 59th Annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
The Government of the Virgin Islands wishes to inform the public that the Virgin Islands Shipping Registry is functioning with its usual services from their location at the RGH Plaza in Road Town, Tortola.
The Virgin Islands’ advantage for ship registration will be emphasised at the 59th Annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show from October 31 through November 4.
