HMS Medway, one of the newest ships in the Royal Navy and the current Caribbean Guard Ship, will be paying a brief visit to the Territory over the coming days.

The Government of the Virgin Islands has signed a five year contract with Canadian Bank Note Company to monitor the Territory’s borders for the next five years and share real time information between agencies.

Mariners are advised that a Seaplane will conduct test operations for landing and take-off in an area to the east of the Passenger vessel berths. This is proposed to take place on the 7th Nov 2019 around 10.00 Hours.

The motor vessel ‘Predator’ which was damaged during the passage of hurricane Irma in 2017 has been fully repaired and is now back with the fleet at Her Majesty’s Customs.

Premier and Minister of Finance, Dr. the Honourable D. Orlando Smith, OBE has signed a contract with Consultant, Mr. Russell Jones for the installation of CCTV cameras Territory-wide in the amount of one hundred and forty thousand dollars ($140,000).
