The Government of the Virgin Islands is taking action to address the undermined road in North Sound, Virgin Gorda.

Motorists are reminded to secure truck trays while traveling with loose material like gravel and cement on the public road.

The public is informed that a section of the Purcell Road, between the tamarind tree near the Purcell Estate entrance to Brewley’s Superette, will be completely closed to vehicular traffic on Thursday, July 6 and Friday, July 7 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The public is informed that works to install force main pipes from the Long Swamp Bridge to Paraquita Bay pump station continues during the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The public is informed that the section of road on Main Street between Smiths Gore and the St. George’s Anglican Church will be closed on Saturday, June 24 from 8:30 to 11:00 a.m.
