Premier and Minister of Finance, Honourable Andrew A. Fahie has announced that the Government of the Virgin Islands remains committed to strengthening the Territory’s energy supply and reducing its carbon footprint.

The Government of the Virgin Islands has signed an agreement for the Anegada Microgrid project, which will introduce renewable solar energy to the island.

I consider it a sacred duty for a Premier to keep citizens informed of what their elected Government is doing, and hence I have been holding to this promise.

I would first like to apologize for the length of my presentation this morning as the relevant subject matter is not only very important to the Territory, but as the old adage goes, in order to know where you are going you also need to know where you came from.
