The public is notified that closure of the parking lot adjacent to Pusser’s on Waterfront Drive in Road Town is extended to Monday, March 22 at 7:00 p.m.

The purpose of the closure is to facilitate the maintenance of the parking lot. Persons are being asked to remove all vehicles from the area.

Any inconvenience caused is regretted.

The public is notified that the parking lot adjacent Pusser’s on Waterfront Drive in Road Town will be closed from Saturday, March 20 at 7:00 a.m. to Sunday, March 21, at 7:00 p.m.

Local contractors, vendors and heavy equipment operators within the construction and development sectors who are holders of valid trade licences are reminded to register on the Contractor Registration and Classification System with the Projects Unit in the Ministry of Finance.

The public is advised that the Ridge Road between Little Dix and Hope Hill will be closed to facilitate the completion of major road infrastructure works from Sunday, December 6 at 9:30 a.m. until Tuesday, December 8 at 8:00 a.m.

The motoring public in the vicinity of Lee Road on Virgin Gorda is advised that the road from the Catholic Church to SOL Gas Station and a section of the road leading away from the BVI Ports Authority will experience interruptions from today Thursday, October 15 to Thursday, October 22 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily.

Rehabilitation and slope stabilisation works are about to begin on the Hope Hill to Sabbath Hill road.

The public is notified that the portion of Hannah Hill Road popularly known as Elevator Hill Road has been re-opened.

Mister Speaker, I thank you for the opportunity to provide an update on my Ministry. Over the past months I have provided updates as they relate to physical projects, but today I want to speak on the ministry’s legislation and policy framework which is currently afoot and will improve the operational efficiency of my Ministry.

Construction works have commenced on the additional third lane project in the Traffic Enhancement and Improvement programme in Road Town following the signing of a contract on June 29.
