The students of the Willard Wheatley Primary School are the recipients of a new playground facility following a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Government of the Virgin Islands and Unite BVI. The playground was handed over to Principal Mrs. Enid Penn-Charles following a brief ceremony. The event was also addressed by Premier and Minister of Finance Dr. The Honourable Natalio Wheatley, Minister for Education, Youth Affairs and Sports Honourable Sharie de Castro, Executive Director of Unite BVI Dr. Sauda Smith and Representative for the Eighth District Honourable Marlon Penn. The school is the first of five primary schools in the Territory earmarked to receive playgrounds.
The Inter-Primary Schools Track and Field Championships has ended with the Francis Lettsome Primary School being the best primary school in the Territory athletically.

On Friday, 8th March, the Grade 5 students of the Ebenezer Thomas Primary School had the unique opportunity to participate in a Special Sitting of the House of Assembly.
The semi-final round of the Ministry of Education’s annual Inter-Secondary School Debates concluded after a face-off between three winners and the losing team with the most points from the preliminary round.
The first debate saw the proposition team of the Bregado Flax Educational Centre Secondary (BFEC) debating the opposing team from St. Georges Secondary School on the moot, “The use of artificial intelligence dilutes the learning experience in the Virgin Islands”.
The Willard Wheatley Primary School, formerly known as the East End School, and the Major Bay School has celebrated its sixty-fifth (65th) anniversary of educating youths in the Territory.
