The Social Development Department will be hosting a foster care and adoptive training for prospective foster and adoptive parents and existing foster parents from November 9 to13 at the Red Cross Conference Room from 8:30 a.m. to noon daily.

Work is continuing on the formulation of a National Policy for Healthy Aging following the hosting of a two day workshop by the Ministry of Health and Social Development.
We join with countries around the world in observing October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and lend our voices to the call to ‘band together for a cure’ for all cancers.

In an effort to revitalise and mobilise community organisations and individuals throughout the Territory, the Social Development Department will host a series of Community Mobilisation Workshops next week under the theme Mobilising Community Power, while building capacity within the Territory for social action and participation.
Clinicians were updated on the latest contraceptive technologies such as the implants, new oral contraceptive pills, and the new female condom (FC3), at a workshop organised by the Ministry of Health and Social Development.
