The Civil Registry and Passport Office would like to inform the public that the United States Virgin Islands is enforcing the six-month passport validity requirement for entry to U.S. Territories and mainland.

Holders of a British Overseas Territory Citizen (BOTC) passport from the Virgin Islands are not required to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) when traveling to the United Kingdom (UK).

Travellers from the Virgin Islands who have experienced challenges when using an Electronic System for Travel Authorisation (ESTA) Visa Waiver to enter the United States are asked to report their experience to the Office of the Deputy Governor by Wednesday, 13th November.

Cabinet, in accordance with section 37 (4) of the Immigration and Passport Act (Revised Edition 2013) has approved the exemption of Guyanese nationals from the list of countries requiring a visa to enter the Territory.
