On Thursday you heard from the Honourable Minister of Health on a further case of COVID-19 within the Territory. We are deeply sorry to have to confirm that the patient has since died, despite the best efforts of our medical professionals.
Premier and Minister of Finance, Honourable Andrew A. Fahie has said that the purpose of the 24-hour Lockdown was to protect the people of the Virgin Islands from COVID-19 and to detect any pockets of community spread in the Territory.
Employers are notified that the following information should be included when submitting their assessment of their business in light of the COVID-19 pandemic:
I have been informed by the Unified Command Team of the Health Emergency Operations Centre that an additional case of Covid-19 has been identified, swabbed and locally tested at the Dr. D. Orlando Smith Hospital.
