You heard from the Premier and Honourable Minister for Health yesterday the welcome news that we have had confirmation that all of the 17 samples that were out for testing by CARPHA have been confirmed as negative.

The Ministry of Health and Social Development confirms that the 17 persons under investigation have tested negative for COVID-19.

I want to thank people for the efforts to comply with the managed curfew we have in place today, Friday and Saturday.  This is to help us beat the coronavirus and stamp it out over the next period.

The Government of the Virgin Islands has received over 10,000 pieces of protective gear including medical masks, gowns, gloves, glasses and temperature measurers from the Bank of Asia to assist in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

On March 11, 2020 the World Health Organization declared the Corona Virus, COVID-19 a health pandemic. As we speak, there are over 565,000 confirmed cases with approximately 25,410 deaths in over 200 countries, territories and areas.
