The Government of the Virgin Islands has imposed a travel ban on persons travelling from the Dominican Republic and the United Kingdom (UK) to the BVI with effect from Monday, January 11.

The Ministry of Health and Social Development has confirmed that someone who attended the club Coco-Maya, in Spanish Town, Virgin Gorda from approximately 10:00 p.m. until 12:00 midnight on Old Year’s night has tested positive for COVID-19.

The Ministry of Health and Social Development is advising persons who attended or came into contact with persons who attended Old Year’s and New Year’s festivities to monitor themselves for approximately 14 days for symptoms of corona virus.
