Chief Operations Officer at the BVI Health Services, Mrs. Cedorene Malone-Smith has said that only patients seeking emergency services at the Dr. D. Orlando Smith Hospital will be allowed entry in the third floor ER parking lot of the facility.

The Government of the Virgin Islands received a donation of touch thermometers to aid in the enhancement of screening efforts, particularly in the sister islands in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The public is notified that in accordance with the Public Health Ordinance (CAP. 194), a ban has been placed on non-essential gatherings of 20 persons or more effective Monday, March 23 until Friday, April 17.

Persons who have recently traveled to or from Asia, United Kingdom, United States of America, Europe and other Caribbean islands into the British Virgin Islands are advised to self-quarantine and stay at home for a period of 14 days.

The Immigration Department is informing the public that it has implemented social distancing measures in light of the Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic and is now only allowing five (5) persons within the lobby area at any given time.
